Small law firm website design and redesign
Your website should help someone understand your firm, find the right practice area, and know how to get in touch.
We design and redesign websites for established California solo and boutique law firms. Bring your practice areas, attorney information, and inquiry path together in one properly scoped project.
Tell us about your website. Share your website and goals; please leave out confidential client or matter details.
Custom law firm website design
- Practice-area pages. Organize the services your firm offers into a clear page structure, using information your firm approves.
- Attorney profiles. Present approved biographies and credentials consistently, so visitors can understand who they would be contacting.
- Content and design. Plain-language copy, a consistent visual direction, and layouts that work on phones and larger screens.
- Inquiries and next steps. Agree the form fields, where inquiries are delivered, and what the website tells a visitor to expect next. We check delivery with your team.
Website projects start at $2,500 USD. Your proposal sets the pages, content support, features, reviews, and launch work included. A larger redesign is quoted around its actual scope. Brand identity, business systems, ongoing care, and SEO/content work are scoped separately.
Law firm website redesign
Your firm may have outgrown its original website, added practice areas, or changed the attorneys and information it needs to present. We review the existing pages and inquiry journey before deciding what to retain, reorganize, or rebuild.
We agree which URLs should stay, map relevant redirects where addresses need to change, and identify the content and accounts needed for launch. A designated attorney approves legal wording, credentials, disclosures, and inquiry language before publication.
Work you can explore
These are examples from other industries. They show how we connect website content with the next step for customers.
For Aloha Florals 808, we shaped the brand and website around the business, with different inquiry paths for weddings and lei orders. For Migiwa Yoga Space, the website connects class information with bookings, tickets, and payments.
How the project works
- Agree on the job. We review your current site, priorities, accounts, and inquiry process, then define the scope, fee, and responsibilities.
- Shape the content and design. We organize the pages and develop the agreed copy and layouts. Your firm approves its legal claims, credentials, disclosures, and intake wording.
- Build, check, and hand over. We test the agreed pages, forms, and redirects with your team, launch after approval, and document the accounts and ongoing responsibilities.
Questions before we begin
Do we need all our copy ready?
No. Bring what you have. We can organize and write the agreed website content from your firm's source material. A designated attorney should approve legal wording, results, testimonials, awards, and disclosures before launch. California Rule 7.1 prohibits false or misleading communications about legal services.
Can we keep our existing pages and search visibility?
We review the pages and URLs worth retaining and agree on redirects where addresses change. Google's migration guidance recommends mapping old URLs to relevant new destinations. Rankings and inquiry volume cannot be guaranteed; ongoing SEO is a separate scope.
Can the website connect to our intake tools?
We can assess your existing tools and scope a connection where appropriate. The proposal names the integration, permissions, third-party fees, and delivery tests. Your firm approves what the form collects and who can access it; a website form is not a complete intake or conflict-checking system.
Who controls the website accounts?
We agree on account ownership, billing, access, and handover before work begins. Start with a list of the domain, hosting, website, and other tools you use. You do not need to send passwords in your first inquiry.
What about accessibility and maintenance?
We define the accessibility checks and acceptance criteria in the proposal, including keyboard use, form labels, and error feedback. W3C's forms guidance is a useful reference. This is not a blanket compliance guarantee. Ongoing maintenance and support require an agreed care scope.
What affects the cost and timing of a redesign?
The number and complexity of pages, content support, integrations, approvals, and account access all affect the fee and schedule. We agree the scope, review rounds, and milestones after discovery, including who signs off and what must be ready before launch.
