Make a trip easier to begin
A Japan trip can start with a long list of places and very little sense of how to choose between them. Yuku Japan explores how a travel product can help someone move from curiosity to the outline of their own trip.
Yuku is an independent venture. Our work spans its brand, website, and the content operations behind the experience. This case focuses on the web: discovering places, expressing preferences, and working through a first plan.
Give the destination room
Large photography, editorial typography, and a warm red accent give the brand the feel of a travel publication. The places provide the character; the interface provides a clear way forward.
Guides and place pages let visitors explore before making a plan. The trip builder then asks for the practical details one step at a time. An arrival screen pairs airport choices with a map, showing the decision in context instead of leaving someone with a list of unfamiliar names.

Ask what makes the trip theirs
Preferences need to mean something to the person choosing them. The interest cards use recognizable ideas, from food and culture to quieter discoveries, with short descriptions that help travelers decide what appeals to them.
Those choices lead into a proposed plan that can be reviewed and adjusted. We designed the web experience around that back-and-forth: make a choice, see where it leads, then change what does not fit.

Build a way to keep it current
The work behind a travel website includes deciding how places and stories are organized, edited, and published. We built an editorial system for guides and destination content, with publishing controls and links between places and relevant reading.
That gives the venture a way to develop its content alongside the product. Yuku continues to evolve; the screens here document the web experience at this stage, with ongoing work on the planning experience and the information that supports it.
